Following two years of growth, M&C Saatchi Performance is on the move to double the headcount in Indonesia by the end of 2020. The Indonesian market is led by country director, Roshat Adnani (pictured), who oversees the media planning and implementation.

M&C Saatchi Performance’s Jakarta office officially opened in early 2018, and invested in local talent. Currently, the agency handles media efforts for Indonesian brands such as Tokopedia, Traveloka, Halodoc and Mobile Premier League. Marketing Interactive has reached out to M&C Saatchi Performance for additional information on the talent it is looking for.

According to Adnani, the agency’s growth in Indonesia was “fantastic” last year and it is looking to build its presence even further in 2020. Over the past year, the agency claims it has doubled its clients and also made strategic new hires. In addition, Adnani explained that the agency’s mobile heritage differentiates it from other players in the market and is the key to success in a mobile-first market such as Indonesia, where connectivity is booming and the number of mobile devices is growing.

“Today, we are proud to be working with some of the biggest unicorns in Indonesia. With more brands embracing data-driven approaches to grow their businesses, we are confident that our expansion is only at its beginning,” he added.

Meanwhile, Chris Steedman, managing director APAC said compared to more mature markets, Indonesia is one of the agency’s fastest-growing markets in the APAC region. Since its launch in the country, internet penetration has boomed, fostering the growth of ad budgets and leading brands to look for trusted partners to reach their audiences, Steedman added.

“In 2019, we tripled the size of our team to answer the growing demand of our ever-evolving, fast-paced clients. M&C Saatchi Performance was born as a mobile-focused agency, thanks to our strong understanding of the mobile ecosystem, we help our clients reach their audiences in the most effective and cost-efficient way,” he added.

M&C Saatchi Performance was previously a specialist agency called M&C Saatchi Mobile, and was repositioned in 2018 to deliver marketing services to help brands grow in the hyperconnected age.The new positioning was in line with countries such as Singapore and Malaysia beginning to consider the interoperability of connected devices and the impact of 5G that will provide the necessary infrastructure to create a smarter and more connected digital economy.
