Lion & Lion has bolstered its creative team with the appointments of Mans Lee as head of art and Gary John as creative group head. The appointments are part of a recent redesign of the agency's strategy to bolster integrated strategic and creative capabilities.

Lee (pictured left) will be responsible for driving the creative pursuits for all five Lion & Lion markets including Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. Lee has over 20 years of creative experience which will support the agency's ambitious growth plan to further elevate creative competence. Before taking on this new role, he worked at BBDO, McCann, Rapp Collins, Publicis, M&C Saatchi, MullenLowe, VMLY&R, Ensemble and Alpha245.

Meanwhile, John (pictured right) has worked at Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy, Geometry Global and Leo Burnett in Malaysia. According to his LinkedIn, he was most recently the head of marketing at events management company Monkey Theory. He has worked on clients including Somersby, Tiger Breweries, Lexus, Toyota, BMW, Maxis, Microsoft, Nestle and P&G.

Lion & Lion's ECD, Jonathan Crawford, said their track records speak for themselves and fully support the agency's ambitions. "Lee and John will play a vital role in developing exceptional creative work, something that is needed more than ever in these challenging times for both agencies and brands," he added.

Separately last year, the agency named Cheelip Ong its chief creative officer for Asia. He is responsible for translating its strategic direction into a creative product that delivers results for clients.
