Lazada Indonesia has brought on board singer and songwriter Agnez Mo as its brand ambassador ahead of its year-end shopping festival. According to Lazada, it sees Mo as "an inspirational, accomplished and creative figure who has big dreams and dares to take bold steps in making it happen".

The eCommerce brand added that Mo has proved herself in the Indonesian music scene and succeeded in expanding her wings to the international music scene. Through her personality and values, Mo has always given her best to achieve everything her heart desires and that is in line with Lazada's spirit of "go where your heart beats". Prior to being named brand ambassador, Mo has collaborated with Lazada several times for events such as the 12.12 Gala Show in 2019 and 2020 Lazada Birthday Show.

In a statement to Marketing Interactive, CMO Monika Rudijono reiterated that Mo’s personality and achievement inspires many Indonesians to work hard to achieve their dreams. These traits are very much aligned with Lazada’s commitment to encourage and empower Indonesians to strive in reaching for a better future; be it as customers, sellers or partners.

"We are very happy that Agnez Mo will be involved in several Lazada events and initiatives for the next year – becoming the face of Lazada campaigns in Indonesia and performing at major Lazada events," she added.

Meanwhile, Mo said the collaboration is a valuable opportunity for her and she hopes to encourage the younger generation to be more confident in achieving everything their hearts desire. According to Mo's website, she has a social following of over 35 million followers and several multi-platinum hits.

The eCommerce platform recently wrapped up its regional media pitch, appointing UM to manage duties across Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand. Meanwhile, it also refreshed its brand look for its virtual mall, LazMall. The new LazMall 2.0 spots a slightly different logo, accentuating its signature red and black hues. The new logo has a darker red hue compared to the old one, while the word "LazMall" sees a more bolded version. The brand refresh was done in-house by the Lazada team.
