La Mer taps Mandopop singer Jay Chou as brand ambassador

Skincare brand La Mer has tapped Mandopop singer Jay Chou as its latest brand ambassador.
Known as the “King of Mandopop,” Chou's unique ability to continuously reinvent himself has captured the imagination of millions of fans and reflects the legendary commitment of La Mer to advanced skincare innovation and youthful energy, it said in a statement.
Chou has achieved significant success with a unique musical style, earning him a massive fan base across Asia and beyond. With over 30 million albums sold worldwide, Chou is one of Asia’s most influential artists today. His accomplishments do not stop there; Chou has also appeared in several successful films and directed to critical acclaim.

In his first campaign for La Mer, Chou stars alongside 'The Treatment Lotion', resulting in a supercharged match that celebrates the rejuvenating power of youthful energy.
“La Mer’s skin philosophy really resonates with me. I believe that youth is not fleeting; it’s timeless,” says Chou. “With La Mer, the youthful energy of skin can be recharged. I am so excited to partner with La Mer and celebrate the brand's belief that self-care is for everyone.”

This comes shortly after La Mer named South Korean actress Jun Ji-Hyun, more famously known as Gianna Jun, as its brand ambassador, according to the brand who revealed the news on its Instagram page last year.
Declared by La Mer to be one of the most recognisable leading ladies in the industry, Jun is a familiar face in the film industry. She has starred in many notable films, such as My Sassy Girl, My Love from The Star and The Legend of The Blue Sea, making her an ideal pick for the role.
