L'Oréal dermatological beauty names new marketing director for SG and MY

L'Oréal's dermatological beauty division has appointed Natalie Goh (pictured) as its new marketing director for Singapore and Malaysia.

In a LinkedIn post on Monday (3 March), Goh said, "I'm excited to embark on this new chapter and contribute to the growth and purpose of providing life changing dermatological solutions to all."

"I'm looking forward to collaborating with the talented and passionate team, diving into the innovative work being done, and making a positive impact on the lives of our consumers," she added.

According to her LinkedIn, Goh previously worked at Unilever as the company's lead for beauty and wellbeing business unit in Singapore and Malaysia. She was responsible for delivering profit and loss performance, including sales and operations performance. In addition, she led the unit's marketing and customer strategy and planning commercial plans, supply service and financial KPI delivery. 

She also held several other roles during her time at Unilever, including marketing lead and manager for the hair category in Singapore and Malaysia, senior brand manager for its Lipton tea category, and brand manager for Lifebuoy. Goh was at Unilever for a decade. 

Prior to Unilever, Goh was the assistant brand manager for Tiger Biscuit at Mondelez International Malaysia. In her role, Goh was responsible for crafting brand plans, setting yearly sales target growth with diagnosis of market and brand performance, consumer behavioral and attitudinal insights, sock-keeping unit portfolio, mix review and proposal of yearly brand’s key initiatives aligned with SEA regional’s brand strategy.

She was also the project leader heading end-to-end process for idea-to-market projects including new product innovations, product and packaging improvement, consumer promotions. Additionally, Goh led agencies in crafting and implementing integrated campaign launches, from media and communications planning, on-ground activations, public relations outreach, and in-store point of sales materials. 

Before her role with Tiger Biscuit, Goh worked with Oreo and Chipsmore during her time at Mondelez.

Brands across the region have seen a slew of new marketing directors in recent times. In September last year, fast food chain KFC Singapore named Jaslyn Lam as its new marketing director. In her role, she will focus on enhancing brand development, improving operational efficiency, and driving business growth.

Weeks prior, ice-cream brand Häagen-Dazs appointed Kaajal Shivdasani as its marketing director for Asia. Shivdasani joined the global brand development team on Häagen-Dazs to lead the brand strategy and portfolio development across Asia, as well as the global strategy on the handheld segment, said a spokesperson from Häagen-Dazs when MARKETING-INTERACTIVE reached out. 

Additionally, apparel retailer UNIQLO appointed Paulene Ong as its new marketing director for Singapore in August last year. Within the role, Ong plays a pivotal role in shaping the brand’s strategic direction across multiple channels, overseeing the full spectrum of product marketing, public relations, digital innovation, in-store communications and creative development, said UNIQLO Singapore when MARKETING-INTERACTIVE reached out.
