KRDS has appointed Jek Han as its new MD, where he will be taking on a leadership role in the Singapore operations. Han is replacing Preetham Venkky, who is heading over to DDB Mudra Group in India.
Prior to joining KRDS, Han (pictured left) was the account director of Splash Interactive, where he was the lead in driving the business with the agency's key client, Citibank, on regional and local marketing initiatives for its consumer products across its digital touchpoints. Han was also previously account director of Mediatrophy Digital Agency and Convos Marketing Malaysia.
Besides having experience in content-driven and development-based work across the digital marketing landscape, Han also has roots in copywriting. He has worked in various markets including Taiwan, Dubai, Vietnam, Philippines, and Malaysia, and his clients include GIC, P&G, Volkswagen, National Arts Council, Singtel, Mastercard, and more. Han said he is "ecstatic" to join KRDS, and this new role can only prove "an exciting journey ahead".
"We are only ever as awesome as our people, as we know the industry to be - there are big plans to further grow our people, culture, and a suite of expertise so we can deliver work that exceeds excellence as we up the ante in tandem with the rapid pace of the evolving industry," he added.
Thomas Jestin (pictured right), CEO and co-founder of KRDS Group, said he is excited for the agency to benefit from Han's digital experience and deep understanding of the Singapore market. "We had a meeting of minds, I'm sure he'll prove a terrific addition to the team and will help further elevate the agency, building on the solid foundations laid out by Venkky over the past years," Jestin added.
