Fast-food restaurant chain KFC Thailand has launched its Songkran Bucket 2024 in light of Thailand's ongoing Songkran festival season that will be made available from 28 March to 24 April 2024 at all participating KFC outlets across Thailand.

The launch of the Songkran Bucket was also launched in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of KFC being established in Thailand, a product said to have recognised Thailand's vibrant spirit of its beloved Songkran Festival. According to KFC, the Songkran Bucket represents a special tribute to the essence of home, and a crispy, fried journey to Thailand's cultural heart.

“There's nothing quite like the comfort of home, especially when it comes to enjoying a delicious meal surrounded by loved ones,” said Suhayl Limbada, CMO of KFC Thailand.

“At KFC, we understand the significance of homecoming, and this year, we're delighted to commemorate our 40th Anniversary in parallel in Thailand, with a bucket that encapsulates the warmth and flavours of home,” he added.

The Songkran Bucket comes with a limited-edition packaging designed to depict Thailand's cultural heritage through unique artworks, each featuring Thailand's landscapes of smiles. The designs were made to evoke the feeling of reunions between friends and families over a special meal during the auspicious season of Songkran.

The fast-food chain recognises the bucket's design to be worthy of being a keepsake, and that KFC fans in Thailand would experience the nostalgic feeling of home while sharing their memories of this occasion spent with loved ones during the season of the Songkran Festival. Within the Songkran Bucket's exterior packaging contains a platter of KFC's iconic products which include its signature Fried Chicken, Wingz Zabb, Chicken Pop, and French Fries.

“It's a homecoming of its own, and a party in a bucket too, guaranteed to keep you full and happy throughout the Songkran festivities,” says Limbada.

This isn't KFC Thailand's first time launching something new in line with the Songkran Festival season. KFC Thailand also launched a limited-edition KFC bucket featuring the work of Thai visual artist, TIKKYWOW during the Songkran festivities of last year. Known as the TIKKYWOW Pop-art KFC bucket, the vibrant artworks featured on the bucket's packaging were inspired by the colourful and vibrant street life of Thailand, inclusive of Thai busses, street signs and Tuk-Tuks.

Alongside the Songkran Bucket, KFC has also recently launched another initiative for their customer base in Thailand. The 'Spicy Relief Hotline' was launched by KFC Thailand to help Thai spice lovers conquer the burn and enjoy the thrill of the intense heat of its limited-edition Kai Jai Ded menu.

The 'Spicy Relief Hotline' was done in tandem with KFC's 40th anniversary. It provides assistance and relief to those who dare to indulge the new, limited-edition menu.

When '0' is pressed, callers can vent their spicy-induced frustrations to trained professionals who are ready to offer support, advice and a listening ear. When '1' is pressed, an automated system delivers random spicy relief sounds, including calming classical music, soothing nature ASMR and meditative sounds to ease the fiery sensation.
