JBL picks new digital and eCommerce agency for APAC

Global audio equipment manufacturer, JBL, has appointed First Page as its digital and eCommerce agency to handle its APAC duties.

Senior director of JBL’s Asia Consumer Marketing in the APAC region and Japan, Lee Yee Ling said that the decision to work with First Page followed several months of discussions with the team, in order to fully understand the brand’s vision and develop a detailed strategy.

“As our digital and eCommerce media agency, First Page offers a great blend of global and boutique experiences, exactly what we need for our business,” he added.

Nick Bell, founder of the Superist Group, said that what sets First Page apart as an agency is that it invests time into understanding its clients’ pain points to develop a winning strategy.

“We have a performance first approach, rather than just a one size fits all approach across the region,” he explained.

The Superist Group, according to its site, has worked with the likes of Bayer, McDonald's, Changi Airport Singapore and Uber.

Late last year, JBL’s parent company, Harman International handed its global ad duties to Havas Group. The agency aimed at delivering a global and fully integrated solution that would bring together brand strategy, creative, content, media and production as well as selective support in social media and influencer marketing. Havas´ mandate especially includes bringing the JBL brand to the next level of consumer activation.

One of BLKJ Havas' campaigns for JBL was its 'Rap your gift' audio gifting portal in light of Earth Day. The initiative was created in support of the global sustainability initiative to reduce the use of gift wrapping paper and to raise awareness around wrapping paper waste and encourage more sustainable gift giving, especially amongst younger individuals.

JBL will continue to work with both Havas as well as First Page as it moves forward.
