Jamie Lee (pictured) has returned to her former role with Volkswagen Group as general manager of marketing and communications. She previously moved to China Fortune Land Development (CFLD) last August. In a statement to Marketing, Lee said that in her role as GM of marketing and communications, she will be responsible for the marketing of two flagship brands - Volkswagen and ŠKODA. This includes the full spectrum of marketing activities including customer relationship management, aftersales marketing, advertising and events management, as well as public relations. Lee was in the automotive industry for the past 14 years. She first joined Volkswagen Group in 2006 as a senior manager of marketing, and has also held a three-year stint as head of marketing strategy and communications with Volkswagen Group China. In addition, Lee has also held the position of marketing director for SEAT China with Volkswagen Group Import Co. "It’s great to be back as Volkswagen has always had a special place in my heart. Above all, I’m looking forward to doing things that we haven’t been done before. It is the only way to reinvent ourselves and it’s my responsibility to keep pushing the limits. I am looking forward to working with the team to achieve greater efficiency and synergy between the two brands as the company continues to chart its growth into 2019," she said. "Lee is a front runner within the Volkswagen Group in many ways. Her contribution has been instrumental in the growth of the Volkswagen brand in Singapore and we are more than happy to welcome her back at an exciting time as Volkswagen Group Singapore continues to forge ahead with the addition of ŠKODA to our business," Ricky Tay, managing director, Volkswagen Group Singapore said.
