Jackie Chan and BTS' V team up for chummy SimInvest ad

Jackie Chan and BTS' V have taken netizens by surprise in Indonesian investment company, SimInvest's, latest advertisement. The one-minute commercial starts with K-Pop star V calling the Hong Kong legend his "best friend with no limits".
V is then seen enjoying the luxuries of life such as playing squash and driving a fancy car before sitting down at a dinner table. The camera later flips to reveal Chan, sitting across from him.
The two are then seen dancing together, with V teaching Chan some dance moves while Chan, in returns, shows him some kung-fu moves.
"Finally V can meet his best friend Jackie Chan," wrote SimInvest in an X statement. "This is proof that there are no limits to friendship. Likewise, you and SimInvest will get unlimited experiences."
In SimInvest's latest commercial material, V and Jackie Chan convey the message that friendship is not limited by generation, distance, ethnicity, favorite food, favorite sport or hobby.
This video also symbolises SimInvest's commitment to always be a friend to all its users in providing a limitless investing experience, said SimInvest in a statement.
The video comes under SimInvest's "Anywhere, anytime, anyone, experience unlimited experiences with SimInvest" campaign. The camapign invites Indonesians to enjoy the investment experience through the SimInvest platform which can be done anytime, anywhere and by anyone who has an ID card.
It is hoped that this collaboration between V and Jackie Chan will arouse the attention of more people who are considering investing in realizing their dreams of a better financial future
Aside from YouTube, the ad is also featured in OOH screens, including the HI roundabout in Jakarta.
“Over the last two years, SimInvest has grown very rapidly thanks to the presence of V, who has a loyal fan base among young people. But we can't stop presenting new things, that's why we chose Jackie Chan as the second brand ambassador, side by side with V to represent a more senior group," said president commissioner of Sinarmas Sekuritas and director of Sinar Multiartha, Ferita Lie.
“We are optimistic that Jackie's figure can be in line with our vision and mission to realize financial inclusion and investment in Indonesia that is more massive and globally competitive."
According to to Jamial Salim Konpoi, president director of Sinarmas Sekuritas, the selection of Jackie Chan as a brand ambassador is a strategic move by SimInvest to enhance the attractiveness of their investment platform and build trust among the public.
The collaboration with Jackie Chan is designed to represent SimInvest's diverse customer base from various circles, added Konpoi.
SimInvest first announced V as its new ambassador in March last year.
"Starting today, SimInvest officially has a new bestie. In the future, V will join you to accompany your investment journey at SimInvest," wrote SimInvest in an X statement.

V isn't the only K-Pop star to appear in recent campaigns. Just last week, EXO member SUHO, released a new song in collaboration with alcohol beverage company Diageo on responsible drinking.
Titled "Enjoy the flow, savour every moment", the campaign emphasises the importance of savouring each moment and enjoying alcohol in moderation.
The song features familiar sounds associated with a bar such as glasses clinking, and a canned drink opening. It also features sounds of nature and flowing water. The lyrics include messages such as "take it easy", "slow down" and "savour every moment" to remind viewers to slow down and pace themselves with water.
