Intel Corporation has appointed Alexis Crowell as MD for the Asia Territory, which includes Southeast Asia and Australia and New Zealand. She is also the VP of Intel's sales, marketing and communications group. In her new role, Crowell reports to Steve Long, GM of Asia Pacific and Japan region, and corporate VP of the sales, marketing, and communications group.

Crowell will be based in Singapore, where she will build on Intel’s foundation in the region, by helping customers in their digital transformation journey and pushing for deeper engagements with the local developer ecosystem.

Prior to the role, Crowell was a marketing and solutions leader with the Intel global sales team, collaborating with Microsoft to help drive Windows and Azure consumption along with Intel relevance with customers. She has a deep software background, having worked in Open Source and managed cloud and OS engineering with some of Intel’s biggest customers, the company said.

She joined Intel in 2005 and has assumed product marketing roles across Intel’s AI and IoT businesses. Crowell also has international experience with Intel in both Europe and Latin America, launching five development sites there in collaboration with the local governments. Crowell has been with Intel for 17 years and has assumed a wide variety of roles in marketing, operations and finance.

“As Intel transforms as a company and enters into new businesses, I feel very excited to be playing a part in offering our customers the depth and breadth of capabilities that only Intel can offer,” said Crowell. Separately, Intel announced earlier this month that it would suspend its operations in Russia, and also has suspended shipping operations in Belarus.
