Vegetarian meat-alternative specialists, Impossible Foods has announced the launch of its Classic Burger at all The Butchers Club locations in Hong Kong. To celebrate the launch, Impossible Foods and The Butchers Club commissioned local artist, Terena Wong, to create a 3D artwork to engage customers this summer. The artwork is a symbolic representation of The Butchers Club’s on-going commitment to being more sustainable, and Impossible Food’s mission to reduce the impact of climate change by switching to more sustainable global food systems. The company’s long term goal is to develop a range of affordable and sustainable pork, chicken, fish and dairy products made directly from plants. Terena Wong, the up-and-coming local artist, said that she drew inspiration for this piece from The Butchers Club’s iconic dish. “By making the piece 3D I want to encourage passersby to interact with the work itself, have fun with it, and ultimately hope to inspire them to consider making more sustainable lifestyle choices. That is what the Impossible’s mission is! Eat a burger, save the world!” said Wong.Impossible Foods stated that this eye-catching artwork is aimed at drawing in consumers that are interested in trying the plant-based burger. The artwork will be showcased in the K11 Piazza, right on the doorstep of The Butchers Club, from 15 to 31 August.Wong is also working with Impossible Foods to design custom Impossible flags that will top every Impossible burger bought at The Butchers Club. In addition, The Butchers Club will be running a social media game whereby the first 30 people each day who visit the restaurant and able to show an Instagram picture of them posing with the artwork, using the hashtags #TheButchersClub and #ImpossibleBurger, will receive a free The Butchers Club Impossible Classic Slider in the K11 outlet only.
