Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) has conducted an array of flash mob performances at its arrival hall in terminal one, as part of its 25th anniversary celebration.

Three rounds of the music and dance performances were staged in the terminal yesterday, which was first unveiled by the drums, followed by a jazz band and dance performances by airport staff from the HKIA, home-based airlines and other airport companies. A youth orchestra and a local pop singer also joined the shows.

Adding on, the HKIA gave away souvenirs to passengers and airport staff.

In addition, the HKIA conducted a cake-cutting ceremony which was officiated by Jack So, chairman of AAHK; Fred Lam, chief executive officer of AAHK; Liu Chun-san, acting secretary for transport and logistics; AAHK’s board members and executive directors; and representatives from the home-based carriers.

MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to HKIA for more information.

Back in April, HKIA unveiled its latest autonomous convenience store “Travelwell” in partnership with Lagardère Travel Retail. This new retail concept featured innovative technology which enables passengers to experience shopping experience with instant grab-and-go purchases, saving significant time without the need to stop at a traditional cashier-led checkout.
