Furthermore, additional free guided tours, dining, consumption and accommodation offers, amongst others, will be provided from late June to the end of July for the 13 projects under the "Revitalising Historic Buildings Through Partnership Scheme".

On the other hand, the public can enjoy a 29% discount when purchasing designated products of the Fish Marketing Organization (FMO) and the Vegetable Marketing Organization (VMO) via the “Local Fresh” online store or mobile app from 1 July to 7 July.

The Environmental Protection Department will offer additional GREEN$ to members of the public who recycle via its community recycling network, GREEN@COMMUNITY, and those who participate in food waste recycling using smart food waste recycling bins in July.

Don't miss: 1,500 restaurants in HK to offer discounts on certain food items on 1 July

Last year, close to 1,500 restaurants, bars and fast food chains in the city also offered special discount for specified food items on 1 July.

Tommy Cheung, catering sector lawmaker, as well as chairman of the Hong Kong Catering Industry Association, said that participating restaurants include major fast food chains such as McDonald's, Café de Coral, Fairwood, KFC, Maxim's, as well as a number of bars and restaurants. They sold their set meals at 71% of their original price, drawing from the phrasing of discounts in Chinese – which referring to 1 July.
