Cantopop singer and actor Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒) will be the first Hong Kong artist to hold two solo concerts at the soon-to-open 50,000-seat Kai Tak Main Stadium.
Tse announced his “Evolution Nic Live” concerts yesterday (15 January) through a social media video featuring him playing guitar at the stadium. The post included hashtags such as "Kai Tak Sports Park hosts the first concert by an Asian artist" (啟德主場館首個亞洲歌手演唱會), "25 years apart" (相隔25年) and "stay tuned”. Sponsored by Manulife, the concerts will take place on 25 and 26 April at 7:30 pm, with ticket prices ranging from HK$680 to HK$1380.
Details about ticket sales for Tse’s concerts will be released later, while certain credit card holders will have access to priority booking starting next week, according to the post.
Tse’s Instagram post has received over 9,400 likes and 300 comments, a check by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE saw. While some netizens said they are looking forward to the concert, others from countries such as Singapore and Malaysia said they want to attend.
Tse will be the first Chinese artist to perform at the venue, taking the stage just weeks after British rock band Coldplay plays there on 8,9,11 and 12 April. The band announced its 2025 concert tour dates in Asia last September, and all tickets were quickly sold out.
Additionally, Taiwanese singer Jay Chou will bring his Carnival World Tour to Hong Kong at the stadium from 27 to 29 June. Taiwanese rock band Mayday has also successfully booked the main stadium for a three-day concert in early May, according to Sing Tao Daily.

Kai Tak Sports Park (KTSP) is Hong Kong's first multi-purpose sports, entertainment and leisure precinct. It aims to provide world-class venues and facilities for major events and community enjoyment. The park is set to officially open in March, with the Hong Kong Sevens rugby tournament being the first public event, scheduled from 28 to 30 March.
KTSP is currently conducting test events at its main stadium. Following last month's performance by the boy band MIRROR alongside local and Thai artists, a charity concert titled "FOUR in LOVE 萬人 CHARITY LIVE2025" will be held this Saturday (18 January) at the stadium. The event will feature Hong Kong artists including Jay Fung, Cloud Wan, Jace Chan and the band Dear Jane.
