A potential romantic tryst between global superstar Taylor Swift and American football player Travis Kelce has led to food company Heinz creating a sauce in celebration.

Swift recently attended a Chiefs game, the team that Kelce plays for, at Arrowhead Stadium after the latter publicly asked the singer out on social media. At the game, Swift was photographed with a fan, which then went viral for its caption. According to a Swift fan account, she was “eating a piece of chicken with ketchup and seemingly ranch".

Countless memes ensued with the same caption and Heinz decided to jump on the bandwagon, creating a sauce that was a mix of ketchup and ranch, with the same name. The sauce, however, is not new. The brand started selling its “Kranch” sauce in 2019. However, the excitement surrounding Swift and Kelce led the brand to create a new custom label.

Swift’s appearance at the NFL game has also been a hit for Kelce’s jersey, which saw a nearly 400% spike in sales. According to media reports, the TV ratings for the game Swift attended saw a total audience of 24.32 million viewers with women making up a majority of the demographics.

In addition to brands jumping on the Taylor Swift bandwagon to boost sales, her very own Eras Tour has been given the status of reviving the American economy. Raking in US$2.2 billion in North American sales, Swift’s tour is quickly becoming the highest-grossing concert tour of all time.

Earlier this year in September, Swift collaborated with Google to create a puzzle for her fans to get them to decode the names of unreleased tracks on the album. This was in anticipation of the re-release of her album 1989.

Titled 'From the Vault', these tracks were originally written for 1989 but did not make the original cut. They will now be included in the re-release. With Google, Swift created 89 puzzles for her fans to decode. When solved, the puzzles brought fans closer to uncovering the tracks’ names. To do so, fans had to google “Taylor Swift”. After which, a blue vault appeared at the bottom of the results page. Unscrambling the letters on the screen would leave them with a keyword which, when keyed into the Google search bar, would complete the task.

In total, fans collectively solved 33 million puzzles as they hunted for the names of her new track. The response was so overwhelming that at one point, the system crashed. However, the puzzles were solved in record time and the vault track titles have now been revealed. They are, Is It Over Now?Now That We Don’t TalkSay Don’t Go, and Suburban Legends. Fans can also check out the released titles if they simply click on the blue vault again.
