Harbour City’s assistant general manager of promotions and marketing Andrew Yeung (pictured) is departing after rejoining the group for over 12 years.

Yeung will bid farewell to the company by early June as he has decided to “graduate” from his role and pamper himself with a career break, MARKETING-INTERACTIVE understands.

He would like to express his sincere gratitude for the invaluable support everyone has provided throughout these years.

During his time as the assistant general manger of promotions and marketing, a lot of marketing initiatives have taken place in the mall. Most recently, Harbour City rolled out promotions during the Easter holiday to allured local customers and offset the loss of outbound travel. One of the highlights was the “Free Parking Day”, which drew in customers who chose to stay in Hong Kong for their holiday shopping.

The promotion received widespread positive feedback from residents. With over 2,000 parking spaces, the Harbour City carparks reached full capacity by noon each day of the four-day holiday, resulting in long queues of cars stretched onto Canton Road in Tsim Sha Tsui.

The influx of vehicles broke previous records for the Easter holiday, with a remarkable increase of over 25% compared to the same period last year, according to the release. The mall remained bustling with a steady flow of visitors, comparable to the same period last year.

The promotion also drove footfall and local consumption. Families and children, in particular, made special trips to Harbour City to explore the colourful public art show “Planet Walala”, capturing photos and enjoying the stunning Victoria Harbour views. The mall witnessed a continuous flow of shoppers, with various shops, including lifestyle boutiques, cake shops, bubble tea outlets, supermarkets, and renowned fashion brands, attracting substantial crowds and forming queues of customers.
