Hang Seng's GO!GingerOnion launches virtual academy for DSE candidates

Hang Seng Bank’s GO!GingerOnion platform has launched a virtual academy in The Sandbox metaverse, in order to support DSE students during the wait of their results.

Under the pandemic, Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (DSE) candidates have to experience a different learning pattern, with some even missing many important moments in campus.

Therefore, "GO!GingerOnion" has launched an academy specialised for DSE candidates, within the virtual school, social media hosts "Ginger" and "Onion" will be portrayed as non-player characters to meet students, candidates need to complete the tasks of finding the two hosts and conversations to collect stars, which can be converted into food & beverage vouchers, as well as an intimate conversations with the two hosts. The platform will go live from 14 July 2022. 

Meanwhile, "GO!GingerOnion" conducted a survey earlier, interviewing nearly 300 secondary school students, revealing half of them feeling anxious and unhappy during the epidemic.

In view of this, " GO!GingerOnion" specially presents "Metaverse Campfire" plan to launch  “GO!GingerOnion 5 Star Academy" to accompany the DSE candidates before the release of the results, via the new experience provided by a digital virtual space.

Moreover, the academy also introduces "uniform ceremony" by showcasing 30 local uniform styles, for students to experience the last day in campus, and take photos with their favorite uniform to reminisce the best moments in their school lives.
