Hang Seng Bank has collaborated with Mastercard to launch the new "MMPOWER World Mastercard", embracing inclusivity and elevating customers’ experiences by bringing upgraded rewards and benefits in customers’ everyday spending.

Combining style, functionality and inclusivity with its accessible design, MMPOWER card is also the first Mastercard “Touch Card” in Hong Kong, featuring a unique notch on the edge that allows people who are blind or partially visually impaired to distinguish the card by touch.

The new MMPOWER card offers +FUN Dollars for both online and offline spending, enabling customers to fully embrace the advantages of cross-channel transactions to earn rewards faster. Moreover, cardholders can customise their own privileges by choosing two out of five spending categories to enjoy 5% +FUN Dollars including mobile payment, dining, travel and foreign currency, electronics, and entertainment.

Successful MMPOWER card applicants can enjoy the exclusive offers from 31 May, they can also earn an additional +FUN Dollars if they create a “Preferred Banking” account.

Commenting on the launch, Rannie Lee, head of wealth and personal banking at Hang Seng Bank, said: “As a customer-centric bank, Hang Seng Bank has continually innovated to delight our customers with exciting everyday retail spending experience...with the new MMPOWER Card, customers can earn +FUN Dollars more easily and can use their +FUN Dollars at over 7,400 designated online and offline merchants, making the Card ‘My Everyday Power’.”

Meanwhile, Helena Chen, managing director, Hong Kong and Macau, Mastercard, said Mastercard is glad to have collaborated with Hang Seng Bank in developing the new MMPOWER card, which has now expanded its customer base from young people to all those who embrace a diverse range of lifestyles.

“Mastercard is also honoured that the MMPOWER card is the first credit card in the city to feature the special Touch Card creative design, opening up new possibilities for everyone via this new payment option while also benefitting people with visual impairments,” Chen added.
