Grey Hong Kong has promoted Duffy Lau (pictured) to managing director, reporting to APAC CEO Sarah Trombetta.
In this newly created role, Lau is responsible for spearheading the business and leading the Hong Kong studio, said a spokesperson from Grey in a conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.
Lau has been with Grey Hong Kong for over 10 years, according to his LinkedIn. Before his promotion, Lau served as general manager at the agency. He had also held positions as business partner and director of integration.
Before joining Grey Hong Kong, Lau had worked at Leo Burnett Group and McCann Worldgroup, respectively.
“We have a very collaborative and supportive culture at Grey Hong Kong. I’m truly excited to continue doing our very best for our clients through our 'famously effective' ideas and work,” said Lau.
Back in April, Grey Hong Kong was appointed to handle the creative duties for Lee Kum Kee's food business, following a competitive pitch in January 2024. The agency was chosen as the team has demonstrated its creative prowess and excellent craft with a bold, authentic and unique approach, according to Lau.
Apart from Lee Kum Kee, Grey Hong Kong’s existing clients include P&G Greater China, HSBC, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Hong Kong Science and Technology Park, and several new businesses in the pipeline, according to the spokesperson.
