Insurance company Great Eastern Singapore has handed Havas Media Singapore its integrated media mandate following a pitch process.
The agency will be responsible for media strategy, planning, and buying across both online and offline channels, supporting Great Eastern’s vision to strengthen its position as a leading financial services provider in the region, Havas told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.
This appointment reflects Great Eastern’s confidence in Havas Media’s innovative strategies to deliver impactful results across its brand and performance marketing objectives, it said.

"Havas Media’s data-driven, digitally forward approach combined with their thorough understanding of our brand and business objectives assured us they were a good fit," said Keith Chia, head of group brand and marketing at Great Eastern Singapore.
"We look forward to a fruitful collaboration as we continue to further strengthen our brand with our customers and engage the next generation of younger audiences," he added.
“We are honoured to embark with Great Eastern on this partnership, a brand that shares our commitment to delivering meaningful impact,” said Russell Lai, chief commercial officer of Havas Media Network Singapore. “As we continue to invest in our digital capabilities and tools to enhance client centricity and collaboration, we look forward to elevating Great Eastern’s brand presence and supporting their mission to empower customers to 'reach for great'.”
This comes shortly after Jacqui Lim, CEO for Havas Media Network Singapore and chief growth officer for SEA and North Asia, decided to move on from the agency earlier this year. In light of her departure, Rana Barua, group CEO for India, Southeast Asia, and North Asia, took over additional responsibilities of the overall Singapore village.
Russell Lai, chief commercial officer, Havas Media Network, and Kenny Yap, managing director, Havas Red, Socialyse, and Havas Play, now report directly to Rana Barua. Additionally, BLKJ Havas’ CEO & co-founder, Rowena Bhagchandani, and Joji Jacob, regional chief creative officer for SEA and North Asia and creative lead and co-founder, BLKJ Havas, continue to report directly to him.
