Government agencies on the lookout for social media partners

The Ministry of Transport is on the hunt for a partner to provide social media services for a period of six months. The agency appointed will be tasked with the development of social media content and strategies based on a “good understanding of netizen sentiments”.This includes developing an editorial strategy and content marketing strategy for the ministry’s Facebook page and drafting an editorial calendar for key announcements and campaigns. The partner will also be tasked with curating and maintaining a list of engaged fans or followers.In addition, the appointed partner will also produce six complex infographics within six months, to communicate key messages of Ministry of Transport ’s policy announcements. Charges will apply only when request to produce the infographic is made, a brief seen by Marketing read.Meanwhile, the People’s Association is also currently in the midst of appointing a partner to handle the management of its PAssion Card social media channels. This is for a period of two years with an option to extend for another.Duties extend to the management of the PAssion Card’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and the management of ad buys and purchase of prizes, according to Gebiz. The account has seen 13 agencies pitching thus far, namely Asia Pr Werkz, Cohn & Wolfe, Craft Communications, Zeno Communications Singapore, Huntington Communications, Mashwire, Redhill Communications, to name a few.People’s Association is also currently looking for an agency to handle social media management and media buys for Wisma Geylang Serai, a hub specialising in social and cultural heritage. It also engages Malay-Muslim organisations to help address resident needs.
