GoTyme Indonesia has introduced its first lending product, GoTyme Modal, in collaboration with Olsera, a software and business management system developer for MSMEs. Olsera acts as the consumer-facing partner, while DanaBijak provides the necessary licence, and Tyme supplies the capital.
During the launch on Wednesday, John Kane, Tyme's CEO of merchant cash advance (MCA) for Asia, revealed to MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that the initiative is set to offer up to 280 million rupiah (US$17,100) in financing to MSMEs, with amounts tailored to each merchant's needs and growth potential.
The company aims to support 10,000 MSMEs this year, having already made 1,500 offers through Olsera. Recipients span various industries, including restaurants, coffee shops, boutique hotels, and supermarkets.

Tim Delahunty, CEO and director of GoTyme Indonesia, explained that while GoTyme takes the brand name in this partnership, Olsera's signature deep blue remains a core visual element of GoTyme Modal. This reflects Tyme's commitment to integrating its branding seamlessly with that of its partners.
Unlike Tyme's ventures in the Philippines and South Africa, which involve transactional banking, its Indonesian expansion begins with lending. Banking services remain a long-term objective rather than an immediate focus.
A key feature of GoTyme Modal is its proactive approach, with offers extended directly to merchants. Olsera is the first partner in this model, but more brand collaborations are expected to follow, broadening access to financing for MSMEs.
According to GoTyme Indonesia, eligible merchants using the Olsera platform can secure financing without collateral. Loan terms are flexible, allowing merchants to determine their preferred amount and tenor.
The pricing structure is transparent, with a single agreed-upon fee and no hidden charges or penalties for early repayment. Approved merchants receive funds within two business days, and repayments adjust dynamically based on weekly sales, alleviating the pressure of fixed monthly instalments.
"Drawing from our experience in other markets, 80% of MSMEs that utilise our MCA solution report business growth as a result. Collaborating with DanaBijak as our licensed lending platform, and Olsera as our first partner, now enables us to bring this innovation to Indonesian business owners," said Delahunty in a release.
"Olsera is committed to growing and developing together with our MSME partners. Our focus is to always help their businesses become easier, more efficient and productive," said Olsera CEO Novendy Chen.
