Belgian chocolatier GODIVA Singapore has selected digital marketing agency Hashmeta to manage social media duties for six months with the option to extend for a year. The job scope covers social media content creation, community management and analytics, and work started in September. Hashmeta is responsible for increasing brand engagement and awareness for Godiva in Singapore. The appointment was made without a pitch.
Angela Ho, marketing manager of GODIVA Singapore, said working with an independent agency like Hashmeta gives it the prerogative to create a uniquely "glocal" presence on social with their creative digital content expertise. "We look forward to a fruitful collaboration that will strengthen Godiva’s brand presence in Singapore," Ho added.
Monica Zhuang, creative director of Hashmeta said the team is incredibly excited to revitalise the online brand image of one of the leading chocolatiers in the world. "Together with Godiva, we are confident that our extensive experience in digital, content creation and brand strategy will allow us to translate its world-renowned offerings to the digital space," Zhuang said.
The partnership with GODIVA comes after the appointment of Hashmeta was picked by One Faber Group to handle social and digital marketing in June this year, following a pitch involving four agencies.
