FWD Hong Kong has launched a campaign alongside other brands to offer free COVID-19 protection for Hongkongers, aiming to encourage citizens to stay at home amid the current crisis.
Kicking off the #stayhomemoments campaign is a partnership with Foodpanda, which will see the insurance company offer free COVID-19 protection to all Foodpanda delivery staff and employees during this period, and includes hospital cash benefit and death benefit up to HK$240,000.
"We’ve always been committed to our company values and in particular our value of caring, where we strive to provide our customers with the most timely and appropriate protection during this challenging time. We are honoured to provide free COVID-19 protection to all foodpanda delivery staff and employees as a token of appreciation, and to support their tireless effort in serving Hong Kong citizens during the outbreak," said Ken Lau, managing director of Greater China and Hong Kong CEO of FWD.
foodpanda customers can also register online until 15 May for this free protection, receiving a link to a registration page after buying relevant services on foodpanda's website or mobile app. During registration, applicants can also extend the free coverage to any of their children aged below 18 years old who reside with them.
Arun Makhija, CEO of foodpanda Hong Kong, commented, “The well-being of all our staff, partners and customers is our top priority. We are committed to seeing through this challenging period together, and providing the best possible support to all of our stakeholders - a commitment that is also shared by FWD. We want to contribute where we can and are looking forward to driving initiatives that make a difference when it is needed the most.”
