New York-based contemporary artist FUTURA is set to debut his largest public installation to date, and it's happening here in Hong Kong. Set at the Landmark Atrium in Central, FUTURALAND is a celebration of the artist's love of outer space, featuring a six-metre-tall rocket surrounded by seven of the artist's FL-006 sculptural forms.

The partnership brings together creative studio AllRightsReserved, who organised and curated the exhibit, with Landmark and Belowground, as well as the artist's brand Futura Laboratories.

FUTURA (also known as FUTURA2000) has gained global recognition for his work as early as the 1970s, and has expressed his art across a variety of mediums including canvas, paper, sculpture and more.

“I want to introduce people to who I am, and my body of work. I would like to get people to obviously become familiar with my character universe, and the idea behind my characters and the perception in a playful way. They are coming from somewhere and they arrived here. Of course, this project with this spaceship, the alien figures help tell that kind of playful story, kind of my own fantasy as far as the characters," said FUTURA.

The exhibition will debut on the evening of 3 June, and will run to 16 June. From 4 to 16 June, a complementary pop-up store will also open in Shop 2 at Belowground in the basement of Landmark.
