Four Seasons and Yuan Lih Construction partner up to launch new hotel in Taipei

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and Yuan Lih Construction, part of Taipei-based Yuan Lih Group, have partnered up to launch a new five-star hotel in Taipei.

Located in Xinyi District, Four Seasons Hotel Taipei will be opposite to Taipei 101, one of the tourist attractions in the city and is where high-end shopping, art galleries, offices, Taiwan stock exchange corporation, major banks and organisations locate. The location of the hotel targets at business and leisure travellers.

The 31-storey-hotel will offer 260 rooms and equiped with events, customised service, wellness, and leisure amenities. The design of the tower will maximise natural light by creating spacious environments with soaring ceilings and expansive windows, providing cityscape and mountain views. Construction of the new hotel is underway, and is anticipated to be complete by 2025, according to a report by Taipei Times.

“Taipei has long been a target destination for Four Seasons as we look to expand our presence in Asia’s most important cities. “At Yuan Lih Construction, we are focused on creating projects that maximise land value while creating exceptional architectural landmarks, and we look forward to achieving these goals again with a new state-of-the-art building in Taipei,” says Lin Ming-Hsiung, president of Yuan Lih Construction.

According to the report, the new hotel of Four Seasons would sharpen competition in Xinyi District, where two other luxury hotels under the Park Hyatt and Andaz brands will be launched in the yet-to-open Taipei Sky Tower. The new hotels will also have to compete with Grand Hyatt, W Hotel and Le Meridien.
