Porsche Asia Pacific names new head of PR and communications

Brendan Mok, former BMW's internal and media communications manager has joined Porsche Asia Pacific as head of PR and communications. Prior to his role in Porsche Asia Pacific, Mok (pictured) helmed the role of internal and media communications manager in BMW Australia for close to two years. Before BMW, Mok spent three years in Rolls-Royce Singapore.

According to his LinkedIn, he first joined Rolls-Royce in November 2016 helming the role of corporate communications executive for three years before taking on the position of corporate communications manager for Asia Pacific in October 2019. Mok was also Premium Automobiles' senior marketing executive for two years. 

MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to Porsche Asia Pacific and Mok for additional information in regards to his new role. 

Meanwhile, Porsche Asia Pacific has wrapped up its first creative festival after two months, "SCOPES driven by Porsche", said the company's LinkedIn. According to the post, the creative festival brought changemakers across Southeast Asia together, sparking conversations and dialogues among the young and driven on what a better future could look like.

At the same time, Porsche Asia Pacific also said that in the third quarter of 2021, the company delivered more than 200,000 vehicles worldwide. The Porsche Asia Pacific region saw a 59% increase year on year, driven by the high demand in the company’s electric and hybrid-electric models that accounted for 53% of all deliveries within the last three months.

Separately in March this year, Porsche unveiled its second Southeast Asia Porsche Studio located in Hanoi, Vietnam, looking to highlight the brand's craftsmanship, heritage and values in the country. The studio is said to exhibit the brand’s heritage, and allows consumers to learn more about the company’s "innovative spirit, commitment to sustainability and their drive towards electromobility". Besides exhibiting its cars, the brand has also included a dedicated space for art installations and creative exhibitions by local artists that reflect the company’s values. This space can also serve as a platform for changing events.
