Dairy giant Fonterra’s managing director SEA, Susanne Arfelt Rajamand (pictured), has exited the company after almost three years. Rajamand has joined Royal Greenland as global CEO, according to her LinkedIn profile seen by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE. She is now the global CEO for a seafood business. MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out for more information.

Currently, Vidya Sivaraja has taken the position of managing director, Southeast Asia and South Asia, for the Fonterra Brands. She has been working for Fonterra for nine years. She was also managing director for Sri Lanka and Indian Subcontinent for almost three years and was managing director for Malaysia and Singapore for over two years.

Rajamand is a well known marketer and business leader within the Singapore industry. She was previously the business lead across all functions for the consumer and foodservice division across Fonterra’s brands, such as Anlene, Anmum and Anchor. She was also the vice president for Asia Pacific at American food giant, McCormick and Company, for three years.

A long time employee at Unilever, she left her last position as managing director of the firm in July 2017 where she was responsible for profit and loss (P&L) for the operations in Singapore as well as setting the strategy for the business and leading sales, marketing and supporting functions towards top and bottom line improvements. She was also the head of marketing for Unilever Singapore, regional marketing manager for Unilever Asia and global brand manager.

As a marketer, she has always described herself as believing in long-term agency relations. In a previous interview with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Rajamand said: "Agency relationships take a long time to build and I believe the greatest work comes out once the chant and agency have tried a couple of campaigns, teamed how they can optimise and continuously improve through honest conversations."

When asked then what makes an agency stand out, she said: "Firstly, try to understand my business and by to understand my business problem rather than coming in with a tailor-cut pitch which in most cases they do. Secondly, they should come in with a clear point of view on how they can be different. What I find is most agendas just tell you what they have done," she said.
