EY names Alex Yung as APAC business transformation and innovation lead

Global accounting firm, Ernst & Young (EY) has appointed Alex Yung as its Asia-Pacific business transformation and innovation leader.
In his new role, Yung will drive digital transformation and growth in Asia-Pacific, bringing his wealth of digital, technology, and general management experience to the company's advisory business.
Yung possesses over 25 years of experience in launching high growth businesses, encompassing public cloud business, business process outsourcing and consulting, as well as products and services development in Greater China and Southeast Asia. This experience includes 16 years in the telecom industry with Cable & Wireless and PCCW, and seven years in senior leadership roles with Dell in Asia-Pacific encompassing Greater China, South Korea, and Japan.
Most recently, EY, Yung was managing director of Amazon Web Services (AWS) for Greater China and was in a matter of fact, AWS' first employee in Beijing. Tasked with setting up AWS’ China business, during his eight-year tenure, Yung successfully grew AWS to its current position as one of the leading cloud providers in the Greater China region.
“Digital transformation is more important than ever in the era of constant disruption where lots of businesses are struggling to stay relevant. I am looking forward to collaborating with our diverse and creative clients to transform the e-commerce and technology landscape in Asia-Pacific," Yung said.
