In an impressive display of marketing prowess, Etika has once again been named the "Overall Marketer of the Year" at the Marketing Excellence Awards Malaysia. This marks the second consecutive year that the beverage giant has secured this prestigious title, further solidifying its position as a leader in the Malaysian marketing landscape.

Etika's dominance was evident in its impressive medal haul, securing eight gold, nine silver, and seven bronze awards. The company's winning campaigns showcased its ability to connect with consumers across various platforms and categories.

Some of their award-winning initiatives included: "Calpis Chewy Grape x DJ AINA: AI brand ambassador drives AIMAZING Results for new flavour launch!" - Showcasing Etika's innovative use of technology in marketing; "Wonda OR1 FM Creates A Benchmark: The Same Programme Across 17 Stations in 4 Languages" - Highlighting their excellence in multilingual marketing and media strategy; "Wonda 10th Anniversary: Creating An Unforgettable Sensorial Ride" - Demonstrating their expertise in experiential marketing and anniversary g; "Charge Up Athletes of Today" - A testament to their commitment to CSR and cause marketing; and "World’s First Regional Virtual to Reality PUBG Tournament: How We Drove Record Sales & Created 2 World Records" - An example of their cutting-edge approach to interactive marketing and leveraging the power of gaming.

These category wins, including Excellence in Anniversary Marketing, Excellence in CSR / Cause Marketing, Excellence in Interactive Marketing / AR & VR, Excellence in Marketing Innovation, Excellence in Media Strategy, and Excellence in Multilingual Marketing, underscore Etika's diverse marketing capabilities.

RHB Banking Group emerged as a strong runner-up with six gold, five silver, and two bronze awards, including a gold for Excellence in Personalisation. Mr. DIY also demonstrated its marketing strength with five gold, four silver, and four bronze awards, securing gold for Excellence in Omnichannel.

Other notable winners who contributed to the vibrant Malaysian marketing scene included Watsons Malaysia, Wipro Unza Malaysia, Enrich by Malaysia Airlines, Jobstreet by SEEK, Telekom Malaysia and Lendlease Malaysia.

The Marketing Excellence Awards continues to be the ultimate platform for brands to showcase their marketing achievements. The awards were judged solely by an esteemed panel of client-side marketers, ensuring unbiased recognition of marketing brilliance. This year’s panel featured senior marketers from brands including Burger King, CIMB, FJ Benjamin, Fonterra Brands, Kenangan Coffee, Lotus’s, Mars Wrigley, Monash University, Reckitt, TM and Tyson Foods.

The 13th edition of the Awards was held at The Hilton Kuala Lumpur on 25 October 2024. The event was supported by Silver Sponsor ADS ON Marketing and Official Beer Partner Heineken Malaysia.
