Esquire Magazine to launch in SG

Men's magazine Esquire will debut in Singapore in September 2012, launched by Malaysia-based Mongoose Publishing, targeting high-end men's fashion, watch and lifestyle brands as advertisers.Having launched its Malaysian edition earlier in April this year, Mongoose signed the deal for the Singapore launch yesterday evening, confirming the news to Marketing.The Singapore magazine will be published on a monthly basis and cover topics such as fashion, gadgets, travel, politics and the arts. It will also be published locally.Esquire is published by Hearst Magazines internationally.Graham Paling, group managing director of Mongoose said: "The overwhelming positive reaction that Esquire Malaysia has received by readers and advertisers in Malaysia and Singapore has led us to confirm our intention to launch Esquire Singapore in 2012."The initial print run will be 25,000 copies. When asked about its audit plans, a Mongoose spokesperson said: "Once we have had time to monitor newsstand sales and subscriptions, we will assess the auditing process in Singapore."Mongoose also publishes Time Out KL, Expatriate Lifestyle, Golf Vacations, The Circular and others and is the international media representative for Newsweek and National Geographic.
