Entropia hires eCommerce experts as it launches MEDICI

Marketing agency Entropia Group has launched MEDICI – its end-to-end eCommerce offering to further tap on this booming area. In beta for the last six months, MEDICI has begun to deliver eCommerce solutions for brands, distributors and retailers across the region, combining strategic, technological, and operational support for Entropia’s multi-market and regional clients. It also covers strategy and brand commerce in owned social media channels (interactive and influencer-led livestream commerce), and third-party marketplaces such as Lazada and Shopee.

As the end-to-end offering includes commerce strategy and consulting, customer experience design, data and technology implementation, and platform management, Entropia brought on board digital transformation strategist, Vamsi Vanka; and eCommerce expert, Kelferd Hor. According to the agency, the two are equipped with “first-rate expertise and a strong track record in these areas”, to shape Entropia clients’ direct-to-consumer trade strategies, transforming their businesses and helping them thrive in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, as stated be its press statement.

With a 22-member specialist team onboard, the service has enrolled more than six clients, with focus areas ranging from marketplace strategy, designing and customising the shop, aligning payments and logistics, and category management.

Sourabh Agrawal (pictured), partner at Entropia, said reinvention of the last mile was a key part of business transformation for brands who looked for greater control over customers, market shares, and margins. “MEDICI will use a data-driven approach, and enterprise-grade commerce technology to create seamless experiences that deliver measurable commercial success for our clients”, Agrawal added.

Vamsi Vanka, principal, tech consulting at Entropia said COVID-19 had notably evolved consumer purchase behaviours and given added impetus to businesses to consider eCommerce as a primary sales channel. “With this in mind, MEDICI offers brands an end-to-end, pre-integrated commerce ecosystem that’s ready for rapid deployment, while bringing brand inspiration and commercial interaction closer together”, Vanka added.
