Elevarm, an Indonesian agritech startup dedicated to enhancing smallholder farmers' productivity and promoting sustainable horticulture, has raised US$4.25 million in pre-Series A funding. The round was led by Intudo, with continued backing from Insignia Ventures Partners and 500 Global.
"Access to high-quality seedlings and fertilisers has long been a challenge for smallholder farmers, limiting their ability to maximise yields and sustain profitable harvests. Elevarm is changing this by making high-quality farming essentials accessible to all, enhancing productivity and improving farmer livelihoods," said Bayu Syerli, Elevarm's CEO and co-founder, in a release.
With its new funding, Elevarm plans to offer more seedling options, develop bio-based fertilisers and pest control solutions to improve crop resilience and biodiversity, and enhance AI tools to help farmers work smarter and boost yields.

Founded in 2022, Elevarm integrates research and development through its in-house division, NextBio, which is focused on creating sustainable agricultural inputs that improve soil health and enhance biodiversity. The company produces its seedlings in controlled greenhouse environments, ensuring consistency and resilience in crop production.
Currently, Elevarm supports over 15,000 farmers across West Java, Central Java, and Yogyakarta. It has established partnerships with over 30 institutions, including government agencies, universities, and financial organisations such as Indonesia's agriculture ministry, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), IPB University, Bank BJB, and Amartha.
At the core of Elevarm's operations is its AI-driven Elevarm App, which equips field teams with real-time data insights and precision farming recommendations. Farmers using the app benefit from enhanced pest management, optimised irrigation systems, and advanced planting techniques, leading to more efficient resource use and reduced environmental impact.
"Through our suite of tech-driven horticulture solutions, Elevarm supports thousands of smallholder horticulture farmers across Indonesia, enhancing yields through collaboration and a win-for-all approach," said Syerli.
Intudo's founding partner, Patrick Yip, expressed confidence in Elevarm's future, stating, "Elevarm is well-positioned to shape the future of Indonesia's horticulture industry. By continuing to innovate, invest in technology, and prioritise sustainability, Elevarm can lead the way toward a more productive, resilient, and sustainable agricultural sector."
"Agriculture is seeing growing innovation and investment as food security remains a global priority. By combining AI with traditional farming wisdom, Elevarm offers a scalable approach that has the potential to help nations worldwide strengthen their food systems while adopting sustainable farming practices," said Khailee Ng, managing partner at 500 Global.
