Dyson welcomes BLACKPINK's Jisoo as latest ambassador

British technology company Dyson has appointed Jisoo, a member of the Korean girl group BLACKPINK, as its ambassador. 

In a conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, a Dyson spokesperson said the partnership is set to start on 4 December 2023 and will continue in 2024.  

“While this partnership is not exclusive, we believe it offers an invaluable opportunity to connect with a wider community through Jisoo's global influence, thereby enhancing Dyson’s brand awareness and driving consumer engagement,” said the spokesperson. 

Jisoo was chosen due to her unique aura that embodies beauty, strength and boldness. Since her debut, she has consistently pushed boundaries in various fields, including singing and acting, aligning with Dyson's philosophy of continuous innovation and growth.   

Furthermore, her aspirational, modern, and timeless characteristics and her role in celebrating natural beauty and elevating hair health, make her a role model for Dyson’s target audience. 

Jisoo has also been a Dyson user herself for some time and previously shared that Dyson hair care products are must-have items for her to achieve healthy, natural styles quickly and easily with protection from extreme heat damage, according to the release. 

With her lively personality, Jisoo will be showcasing a variety of content starting with the first image with the Dyson Airwrap multi-styler Ceramic Pop Edition. 

To engage a wider audience, fans of Dyson and Jisoo can share their styles using Dyson tools and Jisoo-inspired healthy hair looks on social media platforms with hashtags such as #dysonhair, #jisooXdyson.

Back in SeptemberDyson pledged to invest 11 billion pesos (US$193.5 million) in the Philippines over the next two years, according to a statement from President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr's office.

The investment will see the appliance maker build a new factory and research and development centre while also expanding its staff and software in the Philippines.
