Durex's Facebook post of what seems like a glowing condom has gone viral, garnering 65,000 reactions and 53,000 shares in under a week. For those who are not aware, the social post by Durex bears an uncanny resemblance to the first-ever image of a black hole photographed by scientists. The black hole, which is 55 million light years from Earth and 6.5 billion times the mass of the sun, has gotten netizens fascinated since the image was released. Riding on the wave, Durex South Africa posted a similar image on Facebook and Twitter with the caption, "Like the rest of the world, we can totally understand the fascination and excitement about finding a new hole in the universe" with a hashtag #OwnYourSituation. Its tweet has since garnered some 250 shares and over 360 likes. Several netizens praised the condom brand for its creativity and spontaneity, with over 12,000 comments under the post. While some called the move to be marketing and advertising at its best, others have come up with jokes and memes of their own.Cheeky advertisements are not new for Durex, which has pranked fans with fish skin condom with Mala Hot Pot flavour and smoked chicken sausage condom to celebrate April Fools' Day over the past two years. In 2017, it even came up with an eggplant flavoured condom in a bid to promote safe sex among youths.  Â
