Following Louis Vuitton's highly anticipated menswear show set to take place tomorrow, Dior has become the second luxury brand to bring its Men Pre-Fall show to Hong Kong in the first quarter of 2024.
Don't miss: Louis Vuitton to hold first menswear fashion show in HK
Led by Dior’s creative director Kim Jones, the show will unveil its Men’s Pre-Fall collection, according to WWD. Following places including Tokyo, Miami, London, Los Angeles and Cairo, Dior has chosen Hong Kong to be the next destination for presenting a runway show to celebrate the artistic director's deep enthusiasm for exploring diverse cultures and travelling the world.
The specific date and location for the Dior show have not been disclosed at the time of writing. MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to Dior for a statement.
This event signifies Dior's comeback to Hong Kong after eight years, following its previous showcases of the women's haute couture show in 2014 at the West Kowloon Heliport venue and a men’s display in 2016.
Interestingly, Dior's move comes shortly after Louis Vuitton announced its plan to hold its first Men's Pre-Fall fashion show in Hong Kong. This event will showcase the second men's collection by creative director Pharrell Williams, building upon the positive reception of the menswear Spring Summer 2024 collection presented during Paris Fashion Week in June.
Louis Vuitton’s show will take place at the iconic Avenue of Stars with support from K11 MUSEA, both integral parts of K11 Group's marquee mega development project K11 Victoria Dockside, showcasing Williams' second collection as he infuses the Pre-Fall 2024 collection with his creative vision and signature style, further enriching the vibrant tapestry of Hong Kong's fashion landscape.
To engage a wider audience, the grand fashion extravaganza will be livestreamed on the outdoor screen of K11 MUSEA on 30 November, as well as worldwide via Louis Vuitton’s social media platforms.
