DHL Express names new MD for HK and Macau

DHL Express has appointed Andy Chiang (pictured) as its new managing director for DHL Express Hong Kong and Macau, succeeding Ng Chee Choong, who assumes the role of managing director for DHL Express Taiwan.
In his new role, Chiang will oversee the team and work towards providing excellent service and solutions to customers, strengthening the position of DHL Express as the market leader. He will report to Ken Lee, CEO, Asia Pacific, DHL Express, and will continue to be based in Hong Kong. Chiang is also appointed as a member of the DHL Express Asia Pacific management board.
Chiang brings 30 years of experience in various country and regional roles at DHL Express. He started as chief accounting manager in DHL Express Hong Kong and, from 1992 onwards, took on several country and regional financial roles.
In 2005, he was appointed country CFO in DHL Express China before moving to a regional role as vice president, finance controlling for DHL Express Asia Pacific in 2011. In 2019, he took over as head of global strategic finance, consistently delivering remarkable outcomes in network fee management. At the same time, Chiang has provided invaluable support in driving sustainable growth and network profitability.
Furthermore, Chiang is experienced with the Greater China region, with his responsibilities of managing Network Fee with China joint venture partner Sinotrans Group since 2005, as well as representing DHL’s interests in the China joint venture board of directors since 2012.

Back in November last year, DHL Express launched its expanded Central Asia Hub (CAH) in Hong Kong, highlighting DHL's belief in growth opportunities in APAC and showing its commitment to developing Hong Kong as an international aviation hub.
The newly expanded world-class express cargo facility handles over 200 dedicated flights per week. Moreover, it is complemented by a well-established Asia air network, which supports about 690 daily flights.
