DHL Express appoints Ng Chee-choong as MD for HK and Macau

DHL Express has appointed Ng Chee-choong as the managing director for DHL Express Hong Kong and Macau.In his new position, Ng is being tasked with leading the strategic growth and management of operations for both cities. He succeeds Herbert Vongpusanachai, who has been made the country manager for DHL Express Thailand and head of Indochina."I truly look forward to taking on the responsibility of further reinforcing DHL Express as the leading logistics provider of choice in Hong Kong and Macau," Ng said. He added, "I am honoured to be able to lead such an amazing team, as we continue to improve our services while adapting to the evolving nature of our business," he added.Ng first joined DHL Express in 2004, fulfilling the role of transportation manager. He gradually took up managerial responsibilities related to airport operations at the company’s Singapore Hub before eventually being appointed as vice president of operations for Hong Kong in 2017. In this role, Ng was instrumental in the expansion of the brand's on-demand delivery service and successfully managed the recent moves of the Hong Kong Service Centre and the Kowloon West Service Centre, which both rank among the top three DHL Express service centres worldwide in terms of volume handled.Ken Lee, CEO of DHL Express Asia Pacific, commented," With Ng at the helm, I am confident that DHL Express will further strengthen its status as the leader in express delivery in Hong Kong and Macau.
