Dessert Museum lands in Hong Kong with VR for first timers

The Dessert Museum has travelled to East Point City in Hong Kong in July after Dubai, Singapore, and Malaysia, offering a unique on-site adventure via metaverse and virtual reality for first-timers.
Open until 4 September 2022, the exhibition consists of five thematic zones, including the ‘donut dream’, ‘macaron tea room’, ‘golden palm beach’, ‘colourful pops’, and the Hong Kong-exclusive ‘Bouncy Tarts’, aiming to create buzz in media and among KOLs again with viral and girly art installations.
“Donut Dream” showcases a giant six-metre-tall donut hole, with more than 10 flavours and a slide for consumers to indulge in the sugary pleasure, while the “Macaron Tea Room” fearures pastel-coloured macarons and French-style teapot, which resonates an opulent afternoon tea in a five-star hotel.
The rainbow-coloured installation within the zone of “Colourful Pops”, consists of swaying giant chocopops for consumers to go for a swing, which adds more sensations to the experience, while “Crunchy Tart” zone is filled with trampolines in the shape of an egg tart, enabling consumers to burn off extra energy in summer.
Furthermore, “Golden Palm Beach” offers VR experience for giant sweettoothed golden bananas. In addition to the four thematic installations in the original exhibition, the Hong Kong leg will also feature ‘The Dessert Museum Metaverse Art Exhibition’ to offer official NFTs, as well as featuring a great variety of art pieces themed on sweet delights in the virtual world accessible via the mobile app VEXMETA.
Meanwhile, East Point City has enhanced the on-site adventure is enriched with the ‘VR Sweet Experience’, where visitors with the VR headgear on will be fed with loads of ‘eye candies’ in the world’s first Metaverse exhibition featuring chocolates, lollies, marshmallows, egg puffs, and ice-cream, alongside a chance to e-meet fans from across the globe.
