DDB Group and Havas Media SG win big at #MARKiesAwards 2022

DDB Group Singapore and Havas Media Group Singapore took home top honours at MARKETING-INTERACTIVE's MARKies Awards 2022. DDB claimed the coveted title of “Overall Creative Ideas MARKie” for the fifth consecutive year by winning three gold, three silver and one bronze trophies. Meanwhile, newly-crowned Havas Media Group Singapore emerged victorious with two gold, one silver and two bronze trophies, bringing home the “Overall Media Usage MARKie”.

Across eight campaigns DDB Group entered, the campaign “Vaccinate Already”, which was done in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information, won one gold and two silver trophies. Meanwhile, another campaign in partnership with PUB titled “The Climate is Changing” won one gold and one bronze trophies.

Coming in second for creative was Leo Burnett Singapore which secured three gold, one silver and one bronze for its campaigns “My Happy Table”, “McDonald’s Chicken McCrispy - The Spicy Debate”, and “Night In”. These were done for McDonald’s Singapore and Hanbaobao. Havas Media also bagged three gold and one silver for campaigns done for Yum! Brands, Burger King Singapore, and UNIQLO Singapore, among others. 

Havas Media claimed the top spot in the media category, making the cut in Most Effective Use - Audio, Most Effective Use - Integrated Media, Most Effective Use  - Multicultural, Most Effective Use- Out-of-Home and Most Effective Use - Specific Audience. The agency took home a total of five gold, two silver and two bronze trophies as the winner for Overall Media Usage MARKie.

Coming in at a very close second was M&C Saatchi Performance, winning two gold, one silver and one bronze. Its campaigns “GrabFood’s Internet Hawker Centre” and “Auchentoshan’s Everyday Moments” were highly received by the judges. Locking in third place was Ogilvy Singapore, obtaining two gold and one silver for Most Effective Use - Consumer Insight and Market Research and Most Effective Use - Launch / Re-Launch.

Other big winners included OMD Singapore, Superson + tangent, Construct Digital, Edelman Singapore, TMRW, Wild Advertising & Marketing, The AD Makers, PROTOCOL, and Hogarth Worldwide.  This year’s entries were filled with unrivalled creativity and innovative marketing professionals who pushed boundaries.  A round of applause to all winners and finalists!
