DBS Bank named overall winner at The Marketing Events Awards 2018

DBS Bank has come out on top as the Event Marketer of the Year for the second consecutive year at The Marketing Events Awards 2018. In total, DBS Bank bagged a seven gold awards and three silver awards.
The Singaporean bank has been highly recognised for its well-executed DBS Marina Regatta campaign. Other successful campaigns under DBS Bank that made the cut for gold and silver awards are DBS Multi Currency Account VR Experience, The Funny in Money and DBS Live Fresh Card x Ultra Singapore 2018. These campaigns are done in collaboration with agencies such as Asdor, Modellscape, Space Objekt, The Secret Little Agency and UltraSuperNew agencies.
Coming in second is PermataBank which impressed the judges with the PermataMe #Countmein campaign with its brilliant content and creativity. Targeted at Millennials, PermataBank’s campaign was aimed at increasing financial literacy amongst the young adults in Indonesia. Other notable winners include Prudential Assurance Company Singapore that came in third place followed by Unilever, Kenanga Investment Bank, Media Prima, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia and Scoot.
The event, in its seventh edition, was held at the exquisite Sofitel Singapore City Centre on the 28 September 2018. The event saw over 200 regional marketing professionals and judges from senior client-side brands present. The event saw over 200 entries submitted across 28 categories.
Apart from recognising the success of marketing brands, The Marketing Events Awards also acknowledges the agencies that the companies partnered with. Modellscape nabbed the coveted title of "Event Agency of the Year" with four gold, three silver and one bronze awards. Other agency-side winners include Pico Pro, Untitled Project, Jack Morton Worldwide, Asdor and Sumo Eleven.
