Coca-Cola Hong Kong and Cityplaza have teamed up to launch a retro restaurant and interactive zones as part of their Lunar New Year campaign.

Also known as “LIVE HAPPY Cheers!”, the campaign runs from 16 January to 16 February 2025. Featuring various installations and activities, it aims to encourage visitors to gather with family and friends in a relaxing, cheerful environment, and exchange New Year blessings.

At the Cityplaza atrium, visitors can find “Blossoms and bliss”, featuring walls adorned with blooming fireworks that radiate New Year joy. Meanwhile, the restaurant interior features classic Coca-Cola posters from various years, creating a retro atmosphere.

Visitors can also take a seat at the New Year restaurant booth to propose a toast, then watching firework patterns and playful New Year greetings are projected onto the table. Meanwhile, the “Happy stacks of joy”  features iconic Coca-Cola crates and classic glass bottles assembled into a photo installation, with the crates displaying cheerful New Year messages in a mix of English and Chinese.

To further engage the audience, the campaign has launched a photo booth named “Smile snap station” that allows visitors to capture joyful memories with friends and family, and create their own personalised "fai chun" (揮春) with smiling faces, spreading everlasting happiness to all.

At the “Fry-tastic fortune station”, visitors can shake the French fry fortune stick container to draw their fortune fry, then collect their fortune message in a ketchup packet at the designated counter for good luck. Visitors can also head to the “LIVE HAPPY apron redemption” bar counter to receive three exclusive Cityplaza x Coca-Cola Chinese New Year-edition badges with a single electronic payment of HK$200 or above at designated Cityplaza and Taikoo Shing merchants.

To complement this Lunar New Year campaign, Cityplaza has created an exclusive, limited-edition “LIVE HAPPY Cheers!” red packet set inspired by Coca-Cola’s 2025 Chinese New Year special-edition firework-themed design. The red packet set includes four designs, with vibrant, dopamine-boosting colours as the main palette. Each design features contrasting colour combinations of red-purple, pink-green, orange-purple and peach-gold, creating a lively, joyful atmosphere that injects boundless happiness into the New Year celebrations.

Against a bottom background of rolling mountains and seas, two classic curved Coca-Cola glass bottles are clinked together, instantly sparking brilliant fireworks that soar into the sky, symbolising the moment when friends and family gather to celebrate and welcome the New Year. The gold-foiled firework patterns on the red packets are dazzlingly colourful, representing New Year wishes for prosperity. Upon closer inspection, people will discover the classic curved Coca-Cola bottle hidden within the fireworks, suggesting that Coca-Cola is there to accompany them throughout the year.

The four red packet designs feature different gold-foiled firework patterns, including goldfish and yuanbao, symbolising abundance; bamboo and bamboo shoots, representing spring’s vitality; temari balls and auspicious clouds, symbolising good fortune and happiness; and mizuhiki knots and New Year flowers, celebrating deep friendships.

From 15 to 28 January 2025, customers can redeem the red packet set and Cityplaza mall e-vouchers with designated spending.
