CircleSquare has appointed Judien Wang to be its new head of digital.
Wang comes from Weber Shandwick Hong Kong, where he worked on digital strategy, technical consultancy and project management. Previously, he also worked for Ogilvy & Mather's Hong Kong office and Nielsen in Guangzhou.
Wang will be based in CircleSquare's Hong Kong office and oversee the firm's quickly expanding digital services portfolio. He will use his expertise to support the company's new Connected Shopper Platform, a travel retail-focused digital tool that allows brands to reach customers at multiple touchpoints along the shopping journey, gather data and assist localisation efforts.
"We wanted to employ someone from outside the travel retail industry to bring a fresh perspective to our digital efforts and Judien’s experience fits the bill perfectly. Everyone is talking about omnichannel at the moment, but few people truly understand the meaning of the word. It’s not about doing something in every channel, but about having every touchpoint working together to deliver a personalised and engaging story to consumers along their entire shopper journey. Judien has really bought into our strategy on that front and will have an important role to play in making digital pay for our brand clients," said Stephane Zermatten, managing partner of CircleSquare.
