Chubb Life HK’s new campaign transforms end-of-life planning to table conversation

Care to talk, talk to care!

“When you're no longer here... What's your wish?” This thought-provoking question serves as the foundation for Chubb Life Hong Kong's transformative campaign, "Every Wish Lasts” (成就每一種遺願). Designed to reshape the conversation around end-of-life planning, this initiative seeks to turn a traditionally taboo topic into a heartfelt dialogue.

The “Every Wish Lasts” campaign responds in part to the findings from a recent survey conducted by Chubb Life HK about end-of-life planning. While one in two survey respondents deemed it crucial to control their final wishes and an overwhelming 97% expressed comfort in discussing death and its implications, a significant 71% had yet to discuss these topics with their loved ones.

Chubb Life HK seeks to dismantle this barrier by inviting individuals to openly share their desires, allowing families to find comfort in knowing that their loved ones' wishes will be respected.

The campaign kicked off in Sai Ying Pun, where striking sky-blue walls asked passersby to answer the same poignant question that started this article. This initiative sparked buzz on social media and, hopefully, thoughtful discussions at home.

On 11 November, Chubb Life officially launched the campaign with an impactful reveal, showcasing real wishes collected during the teaser phase. This display aimed to inspire community members and foster connections through shared experiences. To further promote meaningful interactions, Chubb Life HK organised a special giveaway of drinks in pairs (1+1), encouraging friends and family to engage in compassionate conversations about their wishes.

On 16 November, Chubb Life HK will host a screening of the film The Last Dance (破地獄), directed by Anselm Chan Mou Yin – providing a poignant entry point for discussions about life, death, and beyond. This event aims to create a welcoming, shame-free environment where attendees can engage in a growing dialogue about the importance of end-of-life planning.
