Charlotte Ho steps up as HK Resort's GM of branding and marketing

Hong Kong Resort’s assistant general manager of branding and marketing Charlotte Ho (pictured) will step up as general manager of branding and marketing.

With her diverse marketing experiences across different industries and locations, Ho is poised to lead the company's branding and marketing efforts to new heights.

In her new capacity, Ho will continue to report to Lynda Ngan, chief financial officer, HKR International, overseeing the development and implementation of comprehensive branding and marketing strategies for the company.   

Her vision includes leveraging the latest digital marketing techniques, enhancing customer experience, creating synergy among different stakeholders and solidifying Hong Kong Resort's position as a preferred brand for both local and international visitors.

Moreover, Ho will work closely with various agencies to strengthen its brand and digital strategies and presence in the market.  At the beginning of this year, Ho and her team worked with dentsu to re-energise the Discovery Bay brand.  Currently, Rabbit Studio is the retainer agency for the @VisitDiscoveryBay social media accounts.

The appointment of Ho is a strategic move for Hong Kong Resort as it continues to expand its market reach and elevate its brand.

Ho joined Hong Kong Resort in 2022 as assistant general manager, branding and marketing, Discovery Bay. 

During her tenure, she led the team to launch the new branding campaign for Discovery Bay, further enhanced signature events like, Discovery Bay Easter Egg Hunt on the Beach, Discovery Bay FUNtastic Summer, Discovery Bay Christmas Wonderland, amongst others.  Ho also introduced new events to target younger market segments, such as The Nextwave Beach Music Festival, Discovery Bay Splashtopia and more.  

Prior to this, Ho was the director of marketing and membership of Auberge Hospitality, the hospitality arm of Hong Kong Resort, promoting the image and business of its brands including the seaside resort hotel Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong, Discovery Bay Recreation Club, Club Siena, Discovery Bay Golf Club, HK’s newest international-standard DB Ice Rink and the upmarket Lantau Yacht Club.

Ho also worked in different marketing roles at Hong Kong Tourism Board in Hong Kong & Sydney, the cargo airlines Polar Air Cargo Worldwide, HKR International’s Destination Marketing for Discovery Bay as well as Leasing and Management at HKRI Taikoo Hui in Shanghai. Before rejoining Hong Kong Resort, she was the group director of marketing – Gold Coast, Sino Hotels.
