Changi Airport Group (CAG) has picked PHD Singapore as its media agency of record as of 1 July 2024, according to CAG when MARKETING-INTERACTIVE reached out.
“This is a significant triumph for us and reinforces our prowess in the travel and tourism space," said Sumiati Hashim, managing director, PHD Singapore. "I am proud of the team for their efforts and innovative ideas during the pitch process. We are excited to embark on this new journey with CAG.”
The contract is for a period of two years, with the option to extend for another two, CAG told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE in an earlier conversation when the pitch was first called in March this year. Submissions for the pitch closed on 27 March.

The incumbent on the account is Havas Media. The agency was previously re-appointed in 2019 as CAG’s media agency of record. Havas Media Singapore handled s CAG’s traditional media planning and buying, as well as supported the brand’s digital media strategy. The two first began working together as early as 2015.
The news comes after CAG reappointed Ogilvy Singapore as its creative and digital agency for a period of two years with an option to extend for another two last year. The appointment began on 1 April 2023. Ogilvy Singapore has been CAG’s agency of record for the brand for the last five years.
The news comes shortly after Jewel Changi Airport celebrated its fifth anniversary, kicking it off with a large-scale campaign that takes viewers on a multi-sensory journey to experience the world-class lifestyle destination. To kickstart the campaign, it released a 60-second film called "Jewel. What A Feeling".
The film takes viewers on a one-minute journey through the 135,700 square meter travel hub’s indoor gardens, leisure attractions, and retail and dining offerings. Its fast pace, engaging camera angles, and shots bring a world of up-close sensory experiences to life on screen.
