He also announced the opening of three new outlets in Orchard Gateway, Plaza Singapura and Raffles City in August, with more to come.
Wen brings with him over 17 years of experience in customer experience and growth in multiple brands such as foodpanda, Grab and Pizza Hut.
His most recent stint was at foodpanda. He joined the team in 2022 as its managing director before being promoted later in the year to the role of CEO. In the role, he spearheaded a two-year turnaround plan of a USD$250 million revenue business. According to Wen, he turned the business cashflow positive within 18 months whilst growing market share.
Prior to that, he worked in Grab in Indonesia for three years, joining the team in 2019 as its regional head of strategic planning, GrabKitchen, Indonesia. He quickly climbed the ranks and was promoted to director of GrabFood and GrabKitchen Indonesia in 2021. In his role, he developed and executed a 12-month plan that increased market share in food delivery across all cities in Indonesia.
He was also previously the head of strategic planning of Pizza Hut, Sydney. There, he developed and implemented a brand and business turnaround plan, revamping Pizza Hut Australia's strategic plan, operations, digital and technology capabilities.
