Cathay Pacific has promoted Aldric Chau from head of retail, eCommerce and travel partnership of Asia Miles to general manager of digital, according to his LinkedIn.
At his previous position, Chau (pictured) was responsible for overseeing revenue generation from Cathay’s eCommerce platform, driving retail and brand partnership strategy to curate a customer-centric portfolio of products and experiences that allow customers to shop easily with us with Miles and cash.
Having joined Cathay Pacific Airways in 2008, Chau developed his expertise in service delivery and eCommerce. During his time with the airline, he gained extensive experience in commercial and operational functions, and had been a country manager for Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Prior to joining Asia Miles, Aldric was the head of retail and eCommerce at Cathay Pacific Airways managing the airline’s direct sales channel and ancillary revenue strategy.
On his LinkedIn, Chau described himself as an ENFJ change catalyst, with integrity, humility and sustainability as his core values. Chau said he enjoys solving problems with technology, innovation and growth mindset.
Back in November last year, Cathay Pacific appointed Adam McMillen as head of digital experience - strategy and design.
McMillen joined the airline in October 2021. Boasting more than 14 years of experience across Australia, China and Hong Kong, McMillen joined Cathay Pacific from BlackRock, where he was head of APAC digital from January 2020 to November 2021, overseeing digital strategy and execution across the APAC region. Prior to this role, he was vice president of digital marketing for APAC, leading digital marketing strategy and execution, digital product management and strategic digital initiatives across APAC.
McMillen also worked for Australian telecommunications company Telstra in Hong Kong and Beijing from June 2015 to May 2018. His key responsibilities included international growth strategy, China strategy and programme management. He worked for the company's division in Australia as national operational innovation manager, responsible for transforming customer experience and driving operational efficiencies through the integration of physical and digital retail channels.
