Cathay Pacific moves Ray Fung from SG to HK in new role

Cathay Pacific has appointed Ray Fung (pictured) as head of lifestyle strategy and programme proposition. He will be relocating from Singapore to Hong Kong and will be reporting to Paul Smitton, CEO and managing director of Asia Miles.
In a conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Fung said that his job scope included coordinating Cathay Pacific's overall lifestyle strategy and portfolio, looking after the Cathay membership programme proposition and connecting data analytics with personalisation. He will be supporting the brand’s regional business development and exploring new ventures to drive the company’s bottomline. His responsibility will cover all of Cathay's global markets.
Prior to his new role, Fung helmed the role of regional head of customer travel and lifestyle Southeast Asia and was based in Singapore. According to his LinkedIn profile, Fung led a team of over 90 staff across seven countries in functions including business development, sales, marketing, public relations and customer care. He also managed organisational transformation in the travel lifestyle business model, data-driven decision making and digital communications.
"Having led Cathay Pacific's travel lifestyle business transformation in Southeast Asia over the past few years, I am delighted to be able to continue my work in lifestyle from a head office perspective. I look forward to enhacing our engagement with customers beyond their journeys, and elevating their lives through new initiatives," Fung said.

Recently, Cathay Pacific partnered with VEDA by Ovolo, a Hong Kong-based plant-forward restaurant, to unveil a new contemporary range of plant-based dishes to enhance the wellness dining options available to customers when they fly with Cathay and contribute to its efforts towards sustainability.
